Kelly Clarkson performed a medley of her greatest hits for the “American Idol” series finale on Thursday. Among the songs included were “Miss Independent,” “Breakaway,” “Since U Been Gone,” “Because Of You,” “Behind These Hazel Eyes,” “My Life Would Suck Without You,” “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” “Stronger,” “Heartbeat Song,” “Invincible,” and “For A Moment Like This.” Check out the video below!

While virtually every other winner in attendance for the last episode performed live, Clarkson actually pre-taped her performance as she’s due to give birth to her second child any day now. The superstar filmed the medley back in February, during the same week she served as a mentor for the season 15 contestants. As Gossip Cop reported at the time, Clarkson also gave a live performance of her moving track, “Piece By Piece.”

The singer was overcome by emotion during the rendition, making for one of her most memorable turns on the “Idol” stage. Her journey with the FOX music competition began in 2002, when she auditioned for Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul with “At Last.” On September 4, 2002, Clarkson was named the first-ever “Idol” winner, beating runner-up Justin Guarini.

Since then, she’s amassed seven studio albums and more than 30 singles. Clarkson has also won three Grammys, including Best Pop Vocal Album twice. Along with Carrie Underwood, she is considered to be the most successful “Idol” in the series’ history.

And with her spectacular finale performance, pre-taped or not, it’s easy to see why. Watch the full video below!
