Kellan Lutz: I’m “Proud” of Robert Pattinson for His Post-Twilight Career
The former co-stars were both at the France film festival this week, where they found time to reunite and catch up at a party.
Lutz tells the Associated Press, “It’s great chatting with Rob and seeing his success.”
“I think one of the great things talking with Rob after we did Twilight stuff is he just doesn’t care about the money,” says the actor. “He’s doing good work and he wants to work with great directors and great actresses and actors and working with great material, as we all should.”
Lutz has spent the years since the saga’s conclusion focusing on his “passion” for action projects like The Expendables 3, which brought him to Cannes, while Pattinson has taken on grittier work and came to the fest for The Rover and Maps to the Stars.
And Lutz seems to wholeheartedly approve of Pattinson’s choices.
“He has the chops and he’s doing what he loves to do and I’m so proud of him for everything that he’s doing,” says the Hercules star.
