Keith Urban Close to Joining Idol?

Keith Urban is reportedly close to signing a deal to join “American Idol.”

The country music star, whose name has been floated in recent weeks as a possible new judge for the reality show, reportedly has beat out fellow crooner Brad Paisley for the role.

Urban could get as much as $4 million for the gig, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

At this point, however, NOTHING is official.

Fox has no comment.

Gossip Cop has reached out to rep a for Urban, but has yet to hear back.

As we previously reported, Nicki Minaj is also said to be nearing a deal to join Mariah Carey on the judges panel for the upcoming season.
