Keeping Up With The Kardashians Recap: Kim Kardashian Organizes Family Ski Trip For The Kids
“Keeping Up With The Kardashians“ centered around a ski trip the kids took to Big Sky, Montana. And while it should have a been a carefree vacation (which it was for most), emotions did run high at times.
It was Kim Kardashian’s idea for a family trip with just the kids, since they were no longer going to go on family vacations now that Kris and Bruce Jenner divorced. Kim noted, “So many things are changing, [we] need to create new traditions.” All the kids, except Kendall Jenner and Rob Kardashian, went on the trip. Joining the family were also Khloe Kardashian’s friend Malika Haqq and Kim’s bestie Jonathan Cheban.
Once in Montana, the entire family hit the slopes and appeared to be having the time of their lives. Kylie Jenner, who said she loves “adrenaline” and “challenging” herself, wanted to go to the top of a “scary” mountain. Khloe felt the mountain was too “dangerous,” and said, “This b*tch is crazy.” Ultimately, their guides told them they couldn’t go to the peak that day. Meanwhile, we see a calmer Scott Disick enjoying sledding and skiing with Kourtney Kardashian and their kids.
Not deterred by the day before, Kylie arranged for her and Khloe to go heli-skiing. Basically, a helicopter took them up to the mountain’s highest point, and dropped them off there to ski down. Suffice to say, Khloe was “terrified,” and even more so after she was told they would be outfitted with avalanche backpacks, which she noted was to “find you after you die.” But after Khloe heli-skiied successfully, she thanked Kylie, and expressed, “This is the bonding stuff you should do with your dad,” since Bruce is also an adrenaline junkie.
The episode’s subplot was that the family’s lodging presented a few problems, because there wasn’t enough room for both Kim and Khloe’s friends, Cheban and Haqq. Kim secured the penthouse of a fancy hotel nearby for Cheban, while Haqq was told she could crash on Khloe’s couch. That caused a fight, so everyone decided they would play charades for who would ultimately get the penthouse. Haqq’s team lost, and so Cheban got the ritzy room.
But that was hardly the end of it. Haqq and Cheban bickered one day while shopping in a ski store, where he noted he was friends with Kim because she’s “more famous than Khloe.” The next day, while Kim, Khloe, Haqq and Cheban were playing pool in the family’s ski house, Haqq brought up the conversation again and related how Cheban said, “I was jealous because his best friend is more famous.” Cheban angrily countered, “That’s not what I said! I said I got the room because Kim’s more famous. I didn’t say I was friends with her because she’s famous.” The argument got uglier among all the participants, with Kim telling Haqq and Khloe, “I think both of you have a f*cking inferiority complex!” Khloe then blasted Kim back, saying, “Get you head out of everyone’s a**, and pay attention to your family f*ckin’ trip.” Kim then walked off.
The other minor subplot was that Kris cleaned out a storage unit she and Bruce shared. She got very nostalgic as she found a number of keepsakes that she was going to give to her daughters. Kris said there’s a “lot of history in this storage unit,” as she sifted through Bruce’s belongings, including his training shoes from the Olympics. She added, “Going through all these photos and looking at all this memorabilia, definitely bring[s] up a lot of emotions.” The somber mood, however, was quickly changed when Kris came across a letter from a fan, who sent Kris a number of vibrators. As Gossip Cop previously reported, a grateful Kris then exclaimed, “I hit the vibrator jackpot!” What did you think of this week’s “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”?
