“Keeping Up With The Kardashians” NOT Canceled, Despite Report
“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” is NOT canceled, despite a new tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the report.
The new edition of Star came out on Wednesday with a cover blaring, “Finally Kardashians Canceled!” But it’s actually a bait and switch. Inside the magazine, it’s said “KUWTK” is only on the “verge of being canceled,” but “Kris Jenner is scrambling to save it.”
The biggest problem, according to the outlet, is that “not everyone in the fame-obsessed family is upset” about the possible cancellation. A so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “Kris is absolutely desperate to save the show. But she can’t do that without her kids, and hardly anyone in the family wants to keep doing it.”
“The show has turned into a grind for the kids. But Kris is telling them they’ll be left with nothing if they walk away from what made them famous,” a “source” says, adding, “Kris is desperate to save the show and feels the kids have betrayed her.”
In the case of Kim Kardashian, it’s specifically claimed husband Kanye West is “encouraging the mom of two to move on” from the series, but she’s “on the fence.” Uh, not at all. A rep for Kardashian exclusively tells Gossip Cop that these claims are “false,” and she remains committed to the program.
Gossip Cop has also learned that “KUWTK” will be continuing for the foreseeable future. And we’re not surprised this sensational tale is untrue, because Star published a similar cover story two years ago. That March 2014 “Kardashian’s Canceled” cover also claimed Kim was “pulling [the] plug” on the show. Even one of the lines was minimally changed, with “$200 Million Empire Crashes” now becoming “$500 Million Empire Crashes.” See both versions below.
