Keeping Up With The Kardashians: About Bruce Recap: Jenner Answers Family’s Remaining Questions In Part Two
Bruce Jenner answered everyone’s lingering questions in the second part of the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians: About Bruce” special, including whether he was going to remove his penis, was attracted to men or women, and why his marriage to Kris Jenner fell apart. After the first hour in which Jenner opened up to his kids that he was going to fully transition to becoming a woman, the special’s second hour had him responding to the family’s remaining questions.
Kim Kardashian asked if he was going to remove his “thing,” to which Jenner said he had no plans as of then because “that’s kind of the last thing you can do. You can do an awful lot before that.” She also wondered when he used to have sex with her mom whether he was “into it or grossed out.” Jenner noted, he’s “totally heterosexual” and has been “always attracted to women.” Kim followed up then about whether he was then technically a lesbian. Jenner never answered that.
The kids also wanted to know what they should now call him. Kylie Jenner suggested, “MaD,” which Kourtney Kardashian explained is “Mom and Dad,” and because he’s “a little bit crazy.” Bruce assured them, though, he would always be their dad.
Jenner even met separately with Scott Disick, who admitted he had a “lot” of questions. Later, Disick and Kourtney questioned how and when they would tell Mason about Jenner’s transition.
But the biggest questions were the ones Kris Jenner had for her ex-husband during a highly emotional meeting in her kitchen, which left them both in tears. Jenner began by telling his ex-wife that she’s “amazing,” and that he had “so many great moments” with her that will always be a part of his life, but he’s had this issue he’s been “running away” from ever since he was a kid. Kris questioned what happened between her knowing how he “struggled with wanting to dress differently and wanting to dress as a female,” to deciding he was going to fully transition to being a woman. “I never saw this in a bazillion years,” she told Jenner, pressing him further as to whether her was secretly taking hormones while they were still married.
Jenner explained to Kris he’s had these issues his whole life and that “for the first time in my life, I’m trying to tell the truth,” but felt, “You are the toughest one to talk to out of anybody.” Kris responded, “Maybe it’s because I’m the person you lied to the longest.” She then said she was going “miss” and “mourn” Jenner, adding, “I feel like Bruce died.” Ultimately, Kris said she wanted Jenner to be happy, and told him he was a “great dad, you were a great friend, and you were a great partner.”
The remainder of the special had Jenner’s daughters questioning how they’ll respond when they finally meet “Her,” the name he’s used for his female, true self. Kylie noted, “I do want to meet her, but when he’s ready. When we’re both ready.”
There was no question, however, about Jenner’s future, which he said he was going to devote to transgender issues. He said, “The transgender issue right now is kind of where the gay issue was 30, 40 years ago,” adding, “A lot of people don’t understand it, and what we need is tolerance towards that community. Because of the situation I am in, I think we can do a lot of good.”
