‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Recap: Cuba Trip Ends With Salsa Dancing And More!
The Kardashian sisters ended their Cuba trip with salsa dancing and more on Sunday’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Get the full recap below!
Scott couldn’t go on the Cuba trip because he wasn’t able to get the proper visa in time. He visited Kris at her house and admitted, “I’m pretty bummed that we’re not in Cuba. I feel like we’re missing out on something huge.” She told him he was just having a case of “FOMO” (fear of missing out), but Scott told her he had a plan to “bring Cuba to them.”
The whole group went to a salsa dancing event, but Kim and North accidentally left their dresses at the hotel. However, Kanye West was able to fix the problem by cutting up pieces of cloth and creating handmade dresses for his wife and daughter. Later at lunch, Khloe told Kourtney, “We are the world’s worst dancers ever!” and showed her a video of the two attempting to salsa. Kim noted in a confessional, “It’s so good to see Khloe letting loose and having fun,” considering the drama going on back in Los Angeles with Lamar Odom.
To experience Cuba in his own way, Scott got decked out in sunglasses and a fedora and rolled up to Kris’s house in a blue Cadillac, alongside his friend French Montana. “I’m already jealous that I’m missing out on this whole Cuban trip, so today I’m upping the ante a little bit,” he noted in a confessional. As Kris and Kylie entered the back seat of his car to go for a ride, a cigar-chomping Scott said in a Cuban accent, “Who needs Cuba? We got it right here!” Kylie said in a confessional, “Scott and French are so crazy, but I love this car and I’m down for the ride.” He shouted “Ay! Caramba” as the four drove around town, but Kylie had to cut the drive short when she remembered that her lip kit launch was in “less than 30 minutes.”
While driving around Cuba, Kim broke the news to Kanye that she booked a photo shoot in New York that lands on Mother’s Day. “We didn’t plan to be together on Mother’s Day?” he asked, but she noted in a confessional that “it’s just one of those sacrifices” she has to make for work. “I’ve got to see if Khloe can help with North,” Kim told her husband.
On their last night in Cuba, the group reminisced about their trip when the subject turned to the news that Kylie would be headlining a Puma campaign, which made Kanye somewhat uncomfortable, considering he has a deal with competitor Adidas. “Mom or Kylie should have presented it to Kanye first,” Khloe argued. Kanye then changed the subject and asked if he North, and Saint were spending Mother’s Day alone, and a apologetic Kim confirmed she had to work. “I feel really bad but I made this commitment, but I already had to reschedule this once,” Kim said in a confessional. The next morning, the group boarded a private plane and left Cuba.
Back home, Kim told Kourtney she was “annoyed” with their mom and wished she had informed them beforehand about Kylie’s Puma deal. Kim insisted “I never want to get in the way of anyone’s money,” and that Kanye “didn’t care” about Kylie working with the competitor, but she still felt Kris should have given them a heads up. Later, Kim traveled to New York for her photo shoot, but revealed in a confessional that she was able to push back the shoot in order to celebrate Mother’s Day that morning in LA.
Kim later sat down with Kris and told her Kanye felt “blindsided” by the news about Kylie endorsing Puma sneakers. “Sometimes it’s about a business decision which is completely not personal,” Kris told her daughter, who shot back, “Sometimes when you’re dealing with family, it’s not really a business decision.” “Sometimes I get ahead of myself and forget to communicate the way I should,” Kris admitted. “I feel bad, but it wasn’t intentional.” She noted that the situation “worked out for the best,” and Kim said in a confessional, “I’m just glad my mom understands where I’m coming from. We ultimately want what’s best for each other.”
Later, Khloe and Kourtney threw a Cuban-themed party at their house so that Scott, Kris and everyone else who didn’t get to visit Cuba could experience what the nation was like. They cooked authentic Cuban food, drank sangria and played salsa music to recreate the vibe. “We wanted to bring Cuba to you guys,” Khloe told Kris and Scott, who both appreciated the kind gesture. As the episode ended, salsa dancers and musicians appeared and the whole group got up to join them for a celebration.
