“Keeping Up With The Kardashians” Cameras Did NOT Film Lamar Odom In Hospital, Despite Reports
“Keeping Up with the Kardashians” cameras did NOT film Lamar Odom in the hospital, just as Gossip Cop correctly reported months ago. The photos and footage shown of Odom on Sunday’s episode were not captured by the reality show’s crew, but with Khloe Kardashian’s own cell phone.
Back in October, RadarOnline falsely claimed Kris Jenner and Kim had “cameras rolling as soon as they learned” about Odom’s overdose at a Nevada brothel, and brought a camera crew to his Las Vegas hospital. Various other outlets also alleged the Kardashian family was exploiting Odom’s medical crisis. But a rep for Kim assured us the rumor was 100 percent false, and the new episode of “KUWTK” proved we were right.
Although Sunday’s show did, in fact, feature video of Odom from inside the hospital, including a clip of Kanye West visiting his bedside, Khloe shot all of the scenes and there was never a production crew inside the building. The shocking photo of Odom on life support was reportedly snapped by Khloe, so she could help him understand the seriousness of the situation. Additionally, she recorded his rehabilitation to document his recovery progress and inspire him to persevere. The personal footage wasn’t initially intended to be used on the reality show, but Odom himself wanted the material to be seen by the public.
