Katy Perry Will Be 2015 Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show Performer: Report
Katy Perry will likely be the Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show performer at the 2015 NFL Championship game, according to a new report. During an appearance on “College GameDay” last weekend, the pop star distanced herself from speculation that she’ll get the coveted slot. Perry said that while she’s had conversations with the league, she’s “not the type of girl” that would “pay to play,” as might happen this season.
But now the New York Post now claims “a deal is being hammered out for Katy to play the Super Bowl.” Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for Perry for comment, but has yet to hear back. Our impeccable sources, however, swear up and down it’s a done deal. One of our sports insiders joked, “This is a bet you can’t lose. There’s no under here… She’s definitely going to do the halftime show. Guaranteed.”
As you’ll recall Bruno Mars, joined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, performed at last year’s halftime show. We’re told the only question mark this year is who will join Perry. This year’s Super Bowl will be held at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona on February 1. Gossip Cop will have updates. Would you want to see Perry as the halftime performer?
