Russell Brand Goes Ringless Amid Rumored Marital Trouble

Katy Perry and Russell Brand spent Christmas apart, and now both have been spotted without their wedding rings.

Perry showed off a ringless finger in Hawaii last week, which was not so ominous considering she was swimming in the ocean, but then Brand was photographed strolling in London on Thursday sans his wedding band, adding more fuel to the fire.

The couple reportedly had a major fight before Christmas, leading Perry to opt out of plans to join Brand in London.

And while in the past they’ve both taken to Twitter to dismiss rumors of marital trouble, both accounts have been silent of late.

Brand and Perry wed in October 2010, but have been dogged by rumors of an imminent split ever since.

Both laughed off recent reports that they planned to divorce.

Their reps have not responded to Gossip Cop‘s request for comment.

    I don’t think GC is losing credibilty. Not at all. Stuff happens in relationships. People break up from a week to the next. Heck, from one day to the next. They debunked the rumor last month when Katy and Russel both denied it on twitter, it was obvious GC would comment/debunk. These rumors have been flying around for months now, and from sources more “credible” than GC and other sources who are just a joke (HollywoodLife, etc). I’m just saying.

    When I first heard they were getting married, I thought “C’mon, it’s Katy Perry and Russell Brand. This will never last.” But then I saw them so happy together and I thought they would prove me wrong. I really hope they will end up proving me wrong and stay together.

    Well it’s hard to say that a marriage is on the rocks when the couple themselves make an appearance together at an event.

    GC isn’t saying that the marriage is in trouble because he wasnt wearing his ring, they’re just reporting on what’s going on. If KP and RB make a public appearance tomorrow, GC will be on that too.

    I just don’t agree that this hurts their credibility. If anything, it hurts Perry and Brands credibility.

    When they made a public appearance, they did NOT appear comfortable together. They looked awkward. Everyone but GC could tell. GC has become nothing more than a mouthpiece.

    How could it hurt Perry and Brands credibility? They are not saying anything either way. Just because a couple makes a public appearance means nothing. That ‘s PR. And yes, Gossip cop IS saying their marriage is in trouble. This is the third time they have commented on it.
