I’m sad for her and I’m sad for him. He talked about them remaining friends. I don’t know…it seems the marriages that do last are the ones where they are actually friends before they become a couple. I think people are so anxious to be a couple that they never take the time to become friends. Friends work things out…couples get divorced.

Love how this web site denies rumors like this then soon after we find out the rumor is true. Just like the Kardashian/Humpries and Ashton/Demi divorces….this place is a tool of the stars to try to keep rumors under hand.

They had a pretty lavish wedding…just like Pitt/Aniston, Humphries/Kardashian, and others. It seems like the more lavish the wedding the more apt they are to split.

I feel sad for the both of them break-ups are never pleasant. But, I have to say I NEVERED liked them together and I did not see it working but I was hoping they would prove me wrong. Russell did it all the drugs and women when he was young, Now that he is better he is too old and settled for a much younger Katie. Katie is just getting into her young groove-on… to be a settle down wife of a mid 30 year old ex sex drug addict. Russell has been there and done that.

I wish them both the best.

It is always sad to see a marriage ends. Hollywood marriages are like merchandise. Barter, trade, return, or discard. They don’t realise that the first year is the hardest. Their egoes and pride get the better of them; no one wants to give in, nor to compromise. Tragic.
Anyhoo, another English partner bites the dust. They like their pubs and partying too much.

I wonder if the first thought of a celebrity when they have an argument is, “I best ring my lawyer, get the papers ready”. I mean why do they bother getting married at all it just means nothing to them.

This marriage was doomed from the beginning. Being celebrities with a diary full of commitments would make things hard enough, but it seems they didn’t even sit down and discuss how they wanted their marriage to be beforehand, in terms of where they would live, children, partying etc. Russel being a recovering addict probably made Katy’s partying hard to deal with too.

Even though those same magazines seem to get it right every so often, they need to remember we all have read Aesop’s The Boy Who Cried Wolf. I’ll never believe the rags. Sorry. I kind of think it’s telling that he filed for divorce. Nothing against her but anyone who is having marriage issues who runs off to Hawaii for Christmas instead of spending time with her family or working on her marriage is definitely saying go screw yourself.
Plus,as a recovering addict hanging out with someone who is clearly still very interested in partying is not good. He looked super embarrassed at the VMA’s when he was doing a tribute to Amy Winehouse, who died of addiction, and she’s talking about how drunk she is.

Sad. I liked them, they were cute together.

Me, too. I don’t usually care one way or the other on these hook-ups/break-ups, but something about these two – very cute couple. Seemed like nice people and lots of fun. It’s a shame. I hope they both get past it as easily as possible.

I am so sorry that Katy and Russell are parting. She is a kind and thoughtful person. I congratulate her for putting on a free concert for Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta CA, her alma mater. How many celebs do something for nothing. Gee, look at Kim K. She gets 100,00 to 1,000.000. just for showing up at a club. I wish Katy and Russell nothing but happiness with the right person.
