Katy Perry Reportedly Rejects $20 Million American Idol Judge Offer

(GettyImages.com)

It seems almost inevitable that Katy Perry would be linked to an “American Idol” offer.

The singer has reportedly rejected a $20 million offer to judge the hit talent competition, according to TMZ.

The site claims Perry’s decision was a matter of scheduling and other considerations, not money.

Negotiations between FOX and Perry have not been confirmed, but it looks like the “Part of Me” star will not be taking a spot on the “Idol” panel.

In recent weeks, the list of rumored potential replacements for departed judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler has grown long, with only Mariah Carey officially signed to join.

Nick Jonas has said he’s being considered, Nicki Minaj is reportedly close to a deal, and Keith Urban has newly emerged as a serious contender.

It remains to be seen how it will all shake out for the upcoming twelfth season.

Stay tuned.

Can’t say I blame her. Idol has jumped the shark. The ratings are dropping. Still have a lot of viewers at the moment, but you can’t lose viewership in double-digit chunks like that and expect it to last much longer. Idol judging panel has now become pretty much a haven for has-beens hoping to revitalize flagging careers. That doesn’t apply to Perry.

Glad she didn’t take it because I would no longer watch American Idol.

Isn’t Keith Urban already committed to “The Voice” Australia?

Of course I will not accept, she has held another goal much more valuable and flesh, behind the goal has been for a long time and now it is available. You guessed?
