Katy Perry appeared on Friday’s “Tonight Show,” discussing her new single “Swish Swish” and upcoming album Witness. Watch the video below.

As Gossip Cop reported, “Swish Swish,” a collaboration with Nicki Minaj, came out on Friday. The gossip media was quick to label it is a “diss track,” and even the women of “The View” speculated it was about Taylor Swift. But Perry has gone on record saying that her new music doesn’t target “any one person.” And the pop star stuck with that during her chat with Jimmy Fallon, explaining how the song’s lyrics address the general issue of bullying, not a specific enemy.

“I think it’s a great anthem for whenever anyone is trying to hold you down or bully you,” Perry said. “That’s kind of what this record is about. It’s just like 360-degree liberation. ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ was this political liberation. ‘Bon Appetit’ was a sexual liberation. And now I think this, ‘Swish’ represents the liberation from all the negative that doesn’t serve you.”

The full album is expected to drop in June, followed by a tour in September. Perry said she’s “excited” to hit the road, particularly because she likes the “routine” of it and the opportunity to meet other people. The singer also arranged a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of America, in which $1 from each ticket sold goes to the organization.

But in addition to handing over the money, Perry told Fallon, “I’m going to go and visit Boys and Girls Clubs. I’m going to see how they’re shaping children’s lives. They are the future.” She went on to joke, “When I was touring years ago, I used to go to the club afterwards, and now I’m just gonna go to the Boys and Girls Club.”

Perry also spoke with Fallon, a former “SNL” star, about performing on this weekend’s season finale. Check out the videos below.
