Katy Perry Debuts Breakup Tune “Part Of Me” at Grammys (VIDEO)

Katy Perry got plenty of tongues wagging at the Grammys on Sunday when she sang only a little bit of “E.T.” before launching into “Part of Me,” a blistering breakup song.

For obvious reasons, many observers are linking the performance to Perry’s recent split from Russell Brand.

It should be noted that while the song is only being released now (and was retooled recently), it was originally leaked as a demo back in pre-Brand 2010.

That doesn’t diminish its scathing lyrics and empowering message.

    Anyone else think it was a double who was performing during E.T.?? cause I don’t think there was enough time to make the switch…I guess it’s possible but the singer during E.T. kept covering her face and stuff and they kept it really dark. Just curious :) cool performance.
