Katy Perry Denies Sending “C*nt” Text To Fan’s Ex-Boyfriend (VIDEO)
Katy Perry is denying allegations that she sent a fan’s ex-boyfriend a text message in which she called him a “c*nt” after he said she couldn’t sing live. The pop star took to Twitter late Tuesday to address the rumor.
During Perry’s Prismatic World Tour concert in Australia in December 2014, a female fan threw her phone on stage hoping that the pop star would snap a selfie. Instead, Perry went through her messages and read aloud a text from the girl’s ex-boyfriend, which said, “LOL I heard she can’t sing live at all,” in reference to the singer. Perry then snapped a selfie of herself, and wrote him back a message that she told the audience, “He’s not going to be happy about.” The funny moment was all caught on video (see below).
Just recently, the man involved in the text exchange, whose name is Zach and goes by the Twitter handle @iwasdivine, created a meme that supposedly revealed what Perry wrote to him. “You thought I would never see this chat, you little d*ckless monkey. You have no balls, p*ssy. C*nt,” read Perry’s alleged message along with the selfie she shot of herself.
After getting wind of the meme, Perry tweeted, “I NEVER wrote those words, that is an EDITED picture or the person added it after I took it. I would NEVER use the C word.”
The meme creator backed up Perry’s defense, admitting that he fabricated his post. “I put this together back in December as a joke with NO intentions of any conflict. Please realize I had no bad intentions,” he tweeted at the singer. Perry wrote back, “Thank you for your apology,” and with that, the “c*nt” controversy has been cleared up.
