Katy Perry Gets Tripped Up At Burning Man (VIDEO)
Katy Perry attended the annual Burning Man free-for all event in Black Rock Desert, Nevada, and posted video early Sunday of her unsuccessfully riding a Segway for the first time. Watch the video below.
In the clip, Perry is seen in a long fur coat, goggles, and a black handkerchief over her mouth, as she attempts to ride the Segway before getting tripped up and falling off. The singer captioned her Instagram video, “obvious first time burner alert.”
Perry was not the only celebrity at this year’s Burning Man, which tends to be known for its wild partying and nudity. Susan Sarandon was also there. A close friend of the late LSD enthusiast Timothy Leary, Sarandon brought some of his ashes to Burning Man, and disposed of his remains in a makeshift “church” that was constructed as a piece of art and naturally burned down. She later said Leary would have “loved the chaos” of “Burning Man, because of “all these people honoring him with LSD.”
In the past, the annual event, which has attracted Stacy Keibler and Rosario Dawson, has boasted that it’s “based on radical self expression,” and that “there are no rules about how one must behave or express oneself.” This year, Burning Man’s website said the event was about bringing “experiences to people in grand, awe-inspiring and joyful ways that lift the human spirit.”
Perry has not shared any of her other experiences on social media. In the meantime, check out the video below of her getting tripped up on a Segway at Burning Man.
