Katy Perry Poses With Bill Clinton And George W. Bush, Jokes About Becoming President — SEE PHOTO HERE!
Katy Perry spent part of her weekend hanging out with former presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. The pop star posed for photos with the pair shortly after performing on Sunday at the annual Starkey Hearing Foundation’s So The World May Hear Gala at the St. Paul River Centre in Minnesota. Perry shared the picture on Instagram, jokingly writing in the caption, “42, 43, and 46?!” See the photo below.
The numbers, of course, refer to Clinton and Bush’s places in the line of U.S. presidents, and it seems Perry might be eyeing her own place in history. According to the foundation’s Twitter page, Perry sang her song “Roar,” and dedicated the performance to the organization’s co-founders William F. Austin and Tani Austin. While Perry took to social media celebrate her presidential encounter, neither Bush or Clinton has mentioned the meeting yet on their own pages.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Perry has made it known she’s backing Bill’s wife Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential campaign. Last year, before Hillary even announced her candidacy, the pop star offered to write her “theme song,” and in June, Hillary revealed that Perry’s “Roar” was one of the songs included on her official campaign Spotify playlist. As Gossip Cop also noted at the time, Perry took to Twitter last month and asked her followers to “join the sisterhood of the traveling pantsuit” as Clinton officially launched her campaign.
