Katie Prefers Not to be Holmes All Alone

Sources tell Gossip Cop that In Touch magazine, which stepped in it last week with its “The Fight to End All Fights” cover, about an alleged clash between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, is now going to drag it across the carpet this week with a follow-up.
Insiders reveal that In Touch is preparing another Cruise family strife story, and reached out to Holmes’ camp late last night, not allowing her side much time to rebut the article, which was then sent to the printer so that the magazine could hit newsstands tomorrow. From what Gossip Cop gathers, the thrust of the article is that the actress prefers when Cruise isn’t around. In an e-mail obtained by Gossip Cop, an In Touch staffer wrote Holmes’ rep that the story claimed “Katie wants to have more independence and be taken more seriously as an actress so she likes when she’s alone on set [of “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” in Australia] and Tom is in LA.”
Gossip Cop knows for a fact that this “alone” piece, paired with In Touch’s previous cover, are just a couple of out of touch stories meant to sell magazines.
