Once again, In Touch, in its never-ending desire to split up Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, has published another way off base story about the couple. Titled “Katie’s parents beg her: Come home,” the article claims, according to a so-called “insider,” that Holmes’ mom is “worried that Katie may be depressed or lonely… She thinks some home cooking and relaxation around the people that have known and loved Katie her whole life will give her a boost.”

So what’s the cause of all this?

The mag claims a “controlling” Cruise “wants his wife by his side at all times.” That’s funny because the same day that In Touch was writing this drivel, Holmes and her mom were in Los Angeles while Cruise was about 3,000 miles away filming “Knight & Day” in Boston.

In addition to Holmes’ rep telling Gossip Cop that In Touch’s story is “not true,” unlike the tabs we couldn’t magically find a “source” to backup the mag’s made-up tale.

Holmes, for the record, was in LA where she was honored at Elle Magazine’s 16th Annual Women in Hollywood tribute dinner.
