MAG: “Tortured” Katie Holmes “Can’t Escape” Tom Cruise

Katie Holmes is “helplessly trapped” and “can’t escape” Tom Cruise, despite their divorce, according to a sensationalized story from the National Enquirer.

How so?

The supermarket tabloid explains that Cruise “remains in constant contact to keep tabs on their beloved daughter Suri, so Katie can’t ever feel completely free.”

A purported “insider” for the mag notes, “The ongoing communications between Katie and Tom about Suri’s schooling, visitation, her health or his financial obligations are certain to be a constant reminder of the control that Tom will probably always have.”

Um, what “control”?

Holmes has primary custody of Suri.

Anyway, the Enquirer goes on to claim that Holmes is feeling “tortured” and “lonely” because of the pair’s upcoming wedding anniversary on November 18, as well as the supposed fight over Suri during Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The so-called “friend” alleges, “There will be a battle over Suri’s affection for the holidays,” adding, “There’s always the worry that Tom will outdo Katie and make her feel inadequate as a mother.”

Uh-huh.

But Holmes supposedly has more to worry about than just Cruise.

The tabloid claims Holmes still lives in fear of Scientology, saying, “Katie must have buckled at the knees in fear when she saw one in a series of Scientology recruiting posters in the subway near her home.”

Another “source” guesses, “The proximity of those posters to her home must have chilled Katie to the bone. It’s like she can never escape him [Cruise].”

Right.

Gossip Cop would just like to point out the mag’s language in those two paragraphs.

It says Holmes “must have bucked at the knees,” and the posters “must have chilled Katie to the bone,” meaning the statements are nothing more than dramatic speculation and that the tabloid (and its “sources”) actually know nothing about Holmes.

We’d also like to add that the Enquirer is the same publication that Cruise threatened to sue over a false, baseless cover story titled, “Tom’s House of Horrors.”

In any case, a Holmes friend tells Gossip Cop the tab’s tale is once agin completely untrue, and that the actress is feeling fine and on amicable terms with Cruise.

    Well that’s just plain silly, since Katie lives in a self imposed fishbowl. Unless Katie leaves suri at home, all of us know her whereabouts at all times. All one has to do is turn on their computer to know suri had another meltdown, probably caused by her mother forcing suri to live in the middle of a microscope.

    I’m glad that Katie and Suri got away from the evil cult of Scientology but it’s almost certain that Scientology Office of Special Affairs, it’s dirty-tricks wing, goons probably stalk Katie and our up posters in the subway she rides and other creepy things.

    This is just stuck on stupid. Anytime you marry any person with totally different core beliefs then ones self they will battle till the child is grown. Period. Her core values are compremized as well as his core values being compremized. May the Lord help them both to get passed this most difficult time.
