Katie Holmes Did NOT Reach Out To Tom Cruise Following Mom’s Death, Despite Report
Katie Holmes did NOT reach out to Tom Cruise following the death of his mom Mary Lee South, despite a fabricated webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it’s “100 percent false.”
A so-called “source” tells HollywoodLife that Holmes “offered her condolences” to Cruise after his 80-year-old mother passed away last week, despite the ex-spouses having had no contact with each other for a long time. The often discredited site goes on to purport to have “the details on what she’s doing to comfort him.” HollywoodLies, as it’s known, further contends that even though Holmes and Cruise “went through a very bitter split back in 2012, she knew Mary well and is letting her ex know how devastated she is that he’s lost his beloved mom.”
Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a rep for Holmes, who exclusively assures us that the webloid’s story is “100 percent false.” HollywoodLife seemingly is just shamelessly using the death of Cruise’s mother to create a fake news story, but there’s simply no truth to the repeatedly discredited outlet’s account.
Of course, the site has published numerous bogus reports about the actress, so this latest fabrication comes as no surprise. Gossip Cop previously busted the webloid for claiming Holmes was wearing an engagement ring given to her by Jamie Foxx. This latest story is equally untrue.
