Katie Holmes Speaks Out: “I’m Alright”

Katie Holmes has made her first public comments — albeit brief ones — since filing for divorce from Tom Cruise.
On Wednesday, the actress was shopping with daughter Suri in a New York city grocery store, where she smiled and told the New York Daily News, “I’m alright.”
Holmes appeared to be gearing up for a Cruise-less Independence Day, stocking up on barbecue supplies such as ground beef and hamburger rolls.
As a source exclusively told Gossip Cop on Tuesday, Holmes, who is divorcing Cruise over disagreements on how to raise Suri, is “doing OK” as she starts this next chapter in her life.
Cruise, who turned 50 yesterday, is currently in California.
