Katie Holmes did NOT get “revenge” on Tom Cruise, despite a completely misleading tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can bust the report.

The new issue of In Touch, which hit newsstands on Wednesday, alleges Holmes has “humiliated” Cruise and joined Leah Remini in “exposing Tom’s bizarre world.” That’s not just tabloid sensationalism. It’s a blatant misrepresentation.

As Gossip Cop has reported, Remini has been on a press tour for her new memoir, speaking at length about her experiences with the Church of Scientology, which she left in 2013 after 30 years. The actress wrote about Cruise and Holmes in her book, and discussed the former couple in a “20/20” interview. That led Holmes to release the simplest of statements, saying, “I regret having upset Leah in the past, and wish her only the best in the future.”

But according to In Touch, that constitutes Holmes “breaking her silence” about her marriage to Cruise. The magazine dramatically states she’s “blown the lid off” off their relationship. And a so-called “source” is even quoted as saying her one sentence “speaks volumes.”

“This is the most aggressive she’s been since she blindsided him with the divorce years ago,” a supposed “Scientology insider” tells the outlet. “She’s humiliating Tom again.” The snitch goes on to say Cruise is “furious” with his ex because they have a nondisclosure agreement, and “Katie agreed not to spill any secrets.”

But Holmes hasn’t “spilled” or “exposed” anything. Every “secret” the tabloid makes reference to is something Remini said or wrote. And her brief statement can hardly be considered vengeful. In Touch took a fairly straightforward situation and completely twisted it, showing that the magazine remains as out of touch as ever.
