Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx NOT Going To “Publicize Romance,” Despite Claim
“Katie Holmes and Jaime Foxx Dating: Couple Ready To Publicize Romance?” Parent Herald asks in a headline. The accompanying story begins, “If there’s smoke, there’s fire. It’s been three years and the rumors about the Katie Holmes and Jaime Foxx romance won’t just die down. Are the two now ready to publicly acknowledge their relationship?”
Of course, it’s “been three years” with no acknowledgment of a “relationship” because there’s no relationship to acknowledge. But the website throws out various unfounded theories, like Holmes’ “relationship with Jaime Foxx is kept under lock and key and away from the public” because “privacy is important to her.” The outlet also regurgitates the busted claim that Holmes’ divorce settlement with Tom Cruise forbids her from dating.
And in another show of ineptitude, Parents Herald points to a RadarOnline story from January as proof that Holmes and Foxx are together. That was 10 months ago, and no actual evidence of a “romance” has emerged. The publication’s story concludes, “Could the time be nearing for Katie Holmes and Jaime Foxx to finally stop all these secrecy and publicly acknowledge their romance? 2017 can’t come any faster!”
Well, in 2017 Gossip Cop will still be here to call out stories like these. We’re once again assured that Foxx and Holmes’ dynamic remains platonic. Should the friends’ status ever change, we’ll have it. But for now, this report is off-base.
