Katie Holmes NOT Pregnant With Jamie Foxx Baby, Despite Report
Katie Holmes is NOT pregnant with Jamie Foxx’s baby, despite a tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the report, which comes from a magazine that’s run this false claim a number of times.
We’re talking about OK!, which on Wednesday published its new edition with a cover announcing, “Katie & Jamie: It’s Official! We’re Pregnant! It’s A Girl!” All of that is a lie. There’s nothing “official” about this pregnancy announcement, aside from it being officially wrong. But we’ll get to that.
Inside the issue, a headline declares, “Katie & Jamie Having A Baby!” The tabloid claims, “Secretly dating for three years, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are finally making plans to become a real family.” According to the article, although the stars “have never confirmed their relationship,” now “that’s all about to change” because Holmes recently made a “big announcement” at a dinner party.
“Her friends say Katie was positively glowing and could barely conceal her excitement. Word is, she confessed to the small group gathered there that she’s almost three months pregnant with Jamie’s baby,” a so-called “source” claims. The supposed snitch goes on to contend, “The buzz is that when Katie told Jamie that she was pregnant, he was ecstatic. Their friends say he’s thrilled to be moving forward after all this time together.”
The alleged tipster goes on to note, “The rumor is Katie’s having a girl,” and the magazine even claims Holmes’ daughter has already named the baby “Violet.” But that’s not all. “Word is they’re planning to tie the knot,” the “source” says of Holmes and Foxx, adding, “[But] no one’s sure yet whether it’ll be a quickie ceremony or a big to-do.”
Gossip Cop particularly loves the careful language used throughout this piece: “Word is,” “The buzz is,” “The rumor is,” etc, as if the publication doesn’t want to fully endorse the allegations. What we don’t love is that the tabloid has run multiple versions of this report several times now for more than a year. Among the egregious examples is a May cover story that asserted that a supposedly four-months pregnant Holmes had called off her wedding to Foxx.
That was six months ago… but now Holmes is “almost three months pregnant”? That’s some pretty fuzzy math, and it represents yet another fabrication from the repeatedly discredited outlet. Holmes wasn’t pregnant with Foxx’s baby then, and she still isn’t now. A rep for the actor exclusively tells Gossip Cop, “Jamie Foxx is not having another baby. The reporting by OK! is completely false.”
