Katie Holmes, Matthew Perry New Couple Claim Is NOT True
Katie Holmes and Matthew Perry are not a “new couple,” nor are “sparks flying” between the two, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this flimsy claim about them dating. We’re told there’s “no truth” to it at all.
According to OK!, Holmes and Perry “really like each other,” and have become “quite close” while filming the TV miniseries “The Kennedys: After Camelot,” in which she plays Jackie Kennedy and he stars as her brother-in-law Ted Kennedy. The tabloid notes that in addition to “on-screen chemistry,” a source says they have been “spending a lot of time together” behind-the-scenes. The outlet’s supposed source continues, “There’s a real spark with them… They have had dinner a couple of times and clearly enjoy being with each other.”
The alleged “insider” adds Perry and Holmes are “constantly flirting,” with him teasing her in a “flirty way” for being a big fan of “Friends.” “You can tell they really like each other a lot,” says the magazine’s dubious source. Naturally, the publication has no real specifics, just a series of vague remarks about “chemistry,” “flirting,” and “sparks flying.”
After stating Perry and Holmes are a “new couple,” the tabloid makes sure to point out that her “romance with Jamie Foxx is on the decline.” What’s particularly interesting is that just weeks ago, OK! reported Holmes was pregnant with Foxx’s baby, a claim Gossip Cop was naturally the first to discredit. Oddly, in its latest attempt to throw everything against the wall and see what sticks, the repeatedly disproven magazine makes no mention of Holmes’ alleged baby.
That’s because the publication manufactured that story, much like it’s now doing with talk of her and Perry being a “new couple.” Holmes is not dating her co-star now, and she’s not going to any time soon. They’re simply just colleagues. A rep for Holmes exclusively tells Gossip Cop there’s “no truth” to the outlet’s story about “sparks flying” between the actress and Perry.
