Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes Divorce Settlement Forbids Her From Dating?
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ divorce settlement does NOT include a clause forbidding the actress from dating, despite a ridiculous tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “false.”
A so-called “source” tells the National Enquirer that Holmes can’t date publicly until 2017 because she supposedly signed an agreement “that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways.” The outlet’s questionable insider further claims Holmes is prohibited from “publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce,” going on to purport that if the actress were to secretly date, “she’s not supposed to let any boyfriend near their daughter, Suri.”
“Katie wanted out of the marriage so badly, she agreed to the terms,” adds the magazine’s “source,” who further contends the actress could lose her multi-million dollar divorce settlement if she were to violate the alleged contract. But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us no such dating stipulation exists. We’re told the publication’s entire report is simply “false.”
Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the inaccuracy of the tabloid’s claim. The Enquirer is the same frequently unreliable outlet that Gossip Cop once busted for falsely alleging Cruise wasn’t Suri’s biological father. This latest report is equally untrue .
