Katie Holmes Car Explosion Story Goes Up In Flames

Oh my goodness, Katie Holmes barely escaped with her life in Australia, where she’s currently filming the movie, “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.” Like many other sites, ContactMusic.com breathlessly reported, “Katie Holmes was shooting a scene in a car when the vehicle’s battery caught fire leaving her running to safety.”

“Katie was left shaken after dashing from the car just before it burst into flames,” the dramatic account continues.

Actually, “left” is probably the only accurate part of the story. Her rep told Gossip Cop that Holmes was NOWHERE near harm’s way because “she had already left the set 10 minutes prior to it happening.” Oops.

Not such an explosive story after all.

    Beachballzz, you are so right. This type of activity is detrimental to the basic freedoms of anyone who wants to entertain us. Stalking, for any reason, should be outlawed. That is unless the stalkee is an entertaining Outlaw and the stalker is from the Law department \ :0)

    No no, let me clear this whole story up. I was working on the set, filling the dual position of Best Boy and Key Grip (the normal best boy was caught selling Valium to little girls and is doing 1 – 2 years) until a suitable replacement could be found. Anyhow, a couple of goons from the American Psychological Association sneak onto the set and start messing around with the car Katie’s supposed to be doing a scene in. It was supposed to be a message sent to Tom and his clan that the gloves were off. So anyhow, this bunch of college boys, who probably can’t even change the oil on their Lexuses (Lexi?) tries to plant a bomb in the car, but they screw it all up, so it goes off way too late. Katie’s already halfway home for her daughter’s “conditioning lesson” before it goes off, so nobody was hurt, but the psychologists were milling about the traumatized set, asking people to tell them their feelings. Anyway, go see this movie when it comes out…it has Oscar and All-Time Classic all over it, from what I’ve seen on set.
