Kathie Lee Gifford Tears Up Over Frank Gifford Hall Of Fame Induction (VIDEO)
Kathie Lee Gifford fought back tears on Wednesday, hours after she and her late husband Frank Gifford were inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame. Watch the videos below.
The induction ceremony took place on Tuesday night, where the Giffords were recognized for their respective television careers. Kathie Lee became choked up as she thanked her late husband for everything he taught her, just two months after he passed away. “I have to thank my incredible husband, who taught me so much, who was the most generous person I’ve ever met,” she said on the verge of tears.
“He gave me the two greatest gifts that any human being could have,” she continued. “My children make me a better person every day.” Kathie Lee attended the ceremony with their two children Cody and Cassidy, who accepted the honor on their late father’s behalf.
On Wednesday’s “Today,” the emotions were still strong as Kathie Lee and co-host Hoda Kotb celebrated the bittersweet milestone. Kotb had served as the induction’s emcee along with Regis Philbin. Check out videos of the speech and “Today” segment below, and tell us what you think.
