Kathie Lee Gifford “Deeply Grateful For Outpouring Of Grace” After Death Of Husband Frank
Kathie Lee Gifford has broken her silence on the death of her husband Frank Gifford, who died on Sunday at the age of 84, as Gossip Cop previously reported. Hours after NBC confirmed Gifford had passed away, the “Today” show host turned to Scripture to express her thanks for the outpouring of love. She wrote on Twitter, “Deeply grateful to all 4 ur outpouring of grace. We r steadfast in our faith & finding comfort in knowing where Frank is. Phillippians 4:13.”
As Gossip Cop noted earlier, Gifford, a Hall of Fame football player who went on to become a sports broadcaster, passed away at his Connecticut home. In a statement to Gossip Cop, NBC said, “We rejoice in the extraordinary life he was privileged to live, and we feel grateful and blessed to have been loved by such an amazing human being. We ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time and we thank you for your prayers.”
Before Kathie Lee Gifford thanked friends and fans on Twitter for support, a number of her colleagues, including Hoda Kotb, Al Roker, and Carson Daly, expressed their deepest condolences through social media. Kotb noted, “today I am heartbroken,” while Roker tweeted, “ “I will always remember Frank Gifford’s grace, self-deprecating wit and love of his family. So much to so many.” And Daly wrote, “My heart breaks for my colleague and friend Kathie Lee Gifford & her family for the loss of Frank. We are praying and thinking of them today.”
Gossip Cop wishes Kathie Gifford and her family strength during their difficult time of them.
