Katherine Jackson Gets Restraining Order Against Nephew Trent Over Elder Abuse
Katherine Jackson received a restraining order against nephew Trent Lamar Jackson, after accusing him of elder abuse.
Trent has worked for the Jackson family for years, pulling six-figures as a driver for the matriarch. But Katherine tried to fire him earlier this month after learning he was allegedly stealing money from her. And though she enlisted sheriff’s deputies to help with the termination, it’s said Trent fleed just as they arrived.
In legal documents, Jackson’s attorney accuses Trent of being an “abusive con man who manipulated Mrs. Jackson for years so he could assume control of her finances, stay rent-free in her guest house and estrange her from her children.” And, though Katherine is currently in London, “now that he knows his conduct will be revealed, she fears what he may do to her upon her return.”
It was even claimed in the petition that the 86-year-old Katherine would have to hide in the closet in order to speak to her own children without Trent around. Now, according to TMZ, some of the famous Jackson kids, such as Rebbie, are ready to testify on her behalf. The temporary restraining order requires Trent to surrender keys to Katherine’s residence and stay at least 100 yards away from her.
As Gossip Cop has reported, Katherine previously feuded with grandson T.J. Jackson in 2012. They later agreed to share custody of the late Michael Jackson’s three kids, Prince, Paris and Blanket.
