Katherine Jackson: “I Am Good and Fine,” Custody Change Is “Based on Lies”

Katherine Jackson has broken her silence on the escalating drama surrounding her family, and the reports that she was effectively “kidnapped” by several of her children.

“I am here today to let everybody know that I am good and fine,” the matriarch said during a “Nightline” appearance on Wednesday — hours after it was reported Jackson seemed “drugged.”

Adding that her “children would never do anything to me like that,” Jackson explained that her absence from the family compound in California was nothing more than a “short vacation.”

“One reason I didn’t call is I just gave up my phone and I didn’t want to have any phone calls while I was here,” she said.

As Gossip Cop reported earlier Wednesday, Jackson’s grandson T.J. Jackson (the 34-year-old son of Tito) was granted temporary custody of Michael‘s kids Paris, Prince and Blanket due to her mysterious absence.

Jackson said she is “devastated” by the change in custody, calling it “based on a bunch of lies,” and adding, “my grandchildren have been taken away from me, and I’m coming home.”

It remains unclear, however, why Jackson never told her grandchildren – who she takes care of – that she was going away or that she would be with family members in Arizona.

    Well, if she is “good and fine” then there is no reason why she left children under her care over 10 days without supervision. Those kids are not a hired staff who don’t need to know what goes on in the house.
    She knew custody change was going on and still could not bother herself to make few phone calls.

    Right now I believe more then ever that these children need a new custodian!

    No reason to have her grandchildren removed?? That is such a ridiculous statement. Who leaves 3 children alone without even telling them where you are going. She is meant to be responsible for those kids. It doesn’t make her sound very responsible that she purposely let those children not know where she is, not be able to contact her. If she can’t handle being a parent again, including all the responsibility that go into being a parent then she should not have custody of those kids. Children need a routine they need to know that there is someone looking out for them and someone who actually cares enough to stick with them through the tough times. Not someone who feels they need a vacation so they pack up and leave without a word. Shame on her, and shame on the rest of her family for their behavior while she was gone. Micheal Jackson did everything he could to protect his children, he would be rolling over in his grave if he knew what was going on.

    You know what you have here is plain and simple…..grandma, needs a vaca once in a while, but if you are taking care of children, you do not just get up and go…..the jackson kids need to get jobs for themselves, michael did not support you when he was alive why should it change now that he is dead…your brother WAS NOT stupid, VERY INTELLIGENT, and knew what he was doing with his will….as for paris, your father did not want you to be in the public eye and now that he is gone, you take it upon yourself to go against what he wanted for ya’ll??? little girl is getting too big for her britches,,,,,your father is turning in his grave, knowing that you are posting personal things about you and the jackson family…..your father was a private person and he knew what he was doing…this family needs to keep their business to themselves, and Paris needs to stop following the attention wagon and KEEP THE FAMILY BUSINESS PRIVATE,,,it is NOT YOUR PLACE…

    Something is strange about this Trent guy grabbing them. Now why would he have published something like that for everybody to read? Katherine probably needed the rest badly. Raising teens is a hard job. Katherine is getting old and Michael should have had someone to help her raise them. Katherine probably called Paris and thought that she could babysit until she got back. 14 year olds do babysit. Katherine’s children probably wanted her to rest. They all love Katherine just as Michael did.

    When Katherine was on Oprah, she looked stressed, tired and worried. I believe this Trent guy want people to believe the worst because of his interest in them. Just because he is Katherine’s grandson doesn’t mean that he isn’t a crook. I honestly believe that Katherine loves them and wants what is best for them, but the children will have to obey her and not let this Trent guy influence them. Michael knew that his mother would love them also.

    There is clearly more than what is being told in this fiasco, but I heavily doubt that the truth will ever come out. It’s a shame that those kids are suffering the proverbial food fights between the Jackson siblings and their mother. It needs to end.

    My daughter is 17 and I would not just up and disappear, letting her care for her younger brother for days. That family is toxic with secrets. Finally the kids will speak up and speak out. Poor kids. They deserve a STABLE safe home.
