Katherine Heigl NOT Firing Mom Nancy As Manager, Despite Report
Katherine Heigl is not firing mom Nancy Heigl as her manager, despite a new inaccurate report, which was picked up by a number of sites. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told the story is 100 percent not true.
According to Star, Heigl has decided to drop her “momager” after the cancellation of her TV show “State of Affairs.” A so-called “source” alleges to the tabloid, “Katherine feels that if she doesn’t find a new manager, her career might be over completely.” The magazine’s supposed insider goes on to claim that “Katherine thinks it’s time to find someone who can salvage her career and reputation,” before cattily adding, “if anyone will even take her!”
A rep for the actress tells Gossip Cop exclusively that Heigl has absolutely no plans to part ways with her mom career-wise. It’s simply “not true,” says her spokesperson. In fact, the tabloid must be running out of ideas for stories, because Star’s tale seems to have been recycled from its sister publication, the National Enquirer, which ran a similarly inaccurate story that Gossip Cop corrected back in October 2013. The claims weren’t true then, and they’re still not true now.
