Anne Hathaway hosted “Saturday Night Live” this week, and the former Princess Diaries star took a shot at playing real-life royal-to-be Kate Middleton.

In the sketch, Middleton and Prince William (played by Andy Samberg) go to meet Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip after announcing their engagement.

But as portrayed by Fred Armisen and Bill Hader, the polite monarchs turn into terrifying street toughs as soon as William leaves the room.

We wonder if Middleton’s actual meeting with the grandparents was this dramatic.
