After revealing their wedding engagement, Prince William and Kate Middleton met up with the media.

“We are both very, very happy,” said William, as the couple posed for pictures in the State Rooms of St. James’s Palace.

Middleton, wearing the late Princess Di‘s engagement ring, described potentially becoming queen as “a daunting prospect.”

“Hopefully I’ll take it in my stride.”

While Middleton is known as “Kate,” should William become king, as expected, she’d be called Queen Catherine.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip are “absolutely delighted” for the couple, says Buckingham Palace, and Prime Minister David Cameron wished them “great joy in their life together.”
