Kate Middleton And Prince William “Hugely Grateful” For Worldwide Congratulations On Royal Baby Princess — STATEMENT
As Gossip Cop reported, Her Royal Highness Princess of Cambridge was born around 8:30 a.m. local time in London on Saturday. After a short visit from new big brother Prince George, the proud parents were able to check out of St. Mary’s Hospital and return to Kensington Palace, leaving behind dozens of royal fans who had been camping outside the medical facility. And they weren’t the only well-wishers. As Gossip Cop noted, a number of celebrities wrote celebratory tweets, and President Obama, along with other heads of stage, released congratulatory messages.
In a new statement posted to the Kensington Palace Twitter account on Sunday, it was said, “The Duke and Duchess are hugely grateful for the messages of congratulations they have received from people all over the world. It means a great deal to them that so many people have celebrated the arrival of their new daughter.” It was further noted that the newborn “were today visited by The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Mr. and Mrs. Middleton, and Pippa Middleton.”
Uncle Prince Harry was out of the country during the birth and has not yet returned, but Kensington Palace noted, “Prince Harry has said about his new niece: ‘She is absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to meet her.'” There is no word yet if Queen Elizabeth II has met her new granddaughter yet. Per tradition, the baby girl’s name won’t be revealed publicly until Middleton and William first inform her. Gossip Cop will continue to have updates.
