Is Kate Middleton pregnant? Don’t ask Star, because the magazine can’t keep its stories straight.

Just a week and a half ago, the tabloid announced Middleton was “four months pregnant.” The cover story even said she was expecting a girl, and that she planned to name the baby after Prince William’s late mother, Princess Diana. “It’s official,” blared the issue’s cover.

Now on Friday, Star is asking on its website, “Hiding A Baby Bump? Kate Middleton Covers Stomach With Clutch At London Event!” The accompanying post says, “Kate Middleton attended a film premiere in London on Thursday night and she was her usual stunning self in a white gown by the designer Self-Portrait. The Duchess of Cambridge accessorized with a maroon heels, clutch, and a beautiful Poppy pin. The royal kept her bag curiously over her stomach the entire night! Could she and Prince William be expecting their third child?”

And that’s all the information the article has. In other words, the outlet went from declaring Middleton was in her second trimester in its magazine to wondering IF she’s pregnant on its site. It might seem like the right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing, but Gossip Cop suspects something else is going on.

Star doesn’t care about accuracy. The publication doesn’t care about consistency. It writes what it sees fit, when it see fits, regardless of facts and truth-telling, just to attract readers. That’s how we get two pregnancy stories days apart that don’t make sense. As Gossip Cop already reported, Middleton is not four months pregnant. And while she very may well have another child some day, right now the outlet is continuing to lie about it.
