Kate Middleton & Prince William Seeking Injunction and Damages Over Topless Pics

Kate Middleton and Prince Williams’ lawyers, who last week filed a lawsuit for “breach of privacy” against Closer magazine — the French publication that printed paparazzi photos of the topless Duchess — are scheduled to head to court again on Monday.

St. James Palace announced on Sunday that it would seek an injunction in France against Mondadori, the Italian media company that publishes France’s Closer and Italy’s Chi, to stop the further publication of the photos.

On Saturday, Italy’s Chi stated it intended to publish a 26-page spread on Monday, featuring dozens of the now-infamous long lens photos of Middleton in and out of a bikini.

The Chi cover features three pictures of the Duchess topless, along the headline, “The Queen is Nude!”

Chi editor Alfonso Signorini told the Associated Press, “I don’t see anything morbid or damaging in them. Chi pays attention to respecting people’s dignity. I don’t think they hurt Kate’s image.”

Clearly, Middleton and Prince William feel differently, because they will also seek damages in Monday’s court filing against Mondadori, which is owned by former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

Gossip Cop also hears they may also seek criminal charges against the unidentified photographer or paparazzi involved.

Good for them! They should sue the hell out of everyone in the media- maybe they will eventually stop if they are punished enough. The more these photohogs and magazines find themselves in court the better! :)

Everyone who searches for or clicks on the naked photos of Kate or Harry is feeding the vultures. It amazes me papps still get away with trespassing after multiple transgressions where they’ve been accused.

This is a high profile couple.They should act like it.
No one broke into ther home and took pictures of them naked in their bathtub.
Indeed they do have the right to be naked in their backyard,but it is also a risk they were willing to take. Common sense. I am not agreeing with photographer by any means,just saying when people know photo’s could be taken and published because of who you are wear a little something. They will have a hard time winning this case. We have never seen alot of celebrities naked because they understand their a price for their fame.As William experienced with his own Mother.

I agree,if you are outside even in a private backyard.You have to be aware that you do run the risk of being photographed if you choose to sunbathe naked.Because these paps can take pretty clear pics even from a mile away and I am not saying that it is right however you still run the risk unfortunately because there really is no such thing as privacy anymore especially if you are a high profile celebrity or one of the royals be mindful of what can happen.js

One is asking for it when one pulls their clothes off anywhere that they might even think they could be photographed. Dignity went out window the moment she got naked.
At least cover areola area or those breasts with lil self tanner to even yourself up…Like the rest of the real women with Dignity.
