Kate Middleton Wraps Holiday Presents And Greets Kids In Harlem – WATCH VIDEO
Kate Middleton wrapped presents and greeted children at the Northside Center for Childhood Development in Harlem on Monday as a part of her three-day tour in New York City. The Duchess of Cambridge was joined by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s wife Chirlane McCray during the visit to the center, which provides educational and mental health services to children and families.
Before Middleton entered a pre-school classroom, the group of three- and four-year-olds were asked if they knew who was coming to visit. One little girl yelled, “Princess!” But the kids were picturing someone a little more animated. “They thought she was the princess from Frozen,” school administrator Rose Ann Harris explained of Middleton’s visit. Middleton and McCray also joined administrators, donors, and volunteers at the center to wrap Christmas gifts.
About 200 fans of Middleton gathered outside the center to catch a glimpse of the royal, who wore a mod-inspired black coat from Goat. Middleton, who is pregnant with her second child, was welcomed with flowers as she greeted her throng of fans. Prince William and Middleton arrived in New York City on Sunday for their first official tour of the United States. While Middleton was in Harlem on Monday, Prince William met with President Barack Obama in Washington D.C. Check out the video from Middleton’s visit below! Note: Video no longer available.
