Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle NOT Competing Over Charity Work, Despite Report
Kate Middleton is not competing with Meghan Markle over charity work, despite a made-up report. Gossip Cop can bust this claim. We’re told it’s false.
The ridiculous allegation comes from the repeatedly discredited Celeb Dirty Laundry, which claims Middleton is determined to “outdo” the actress by attending more public and charitable events than Markle. Without any proof or sources, the often disproven outlet contends, “Middleton is worried about being upstaged. She only began engaging with charities after she became a princess.”
The webloid goes on to purport that Markle has been involved in philanthropic endeavors for “a lot longer,” and even “before she met Prince Harry.” “It’s not just put on for show,” concludes the site.
In true CDL style, the manufactured story wrongly pits the two women against each other. There is no competition between Middleton and Markle over who’s doing more charity work. It’s simply made up. A Markle source tells Gossip Cop there’s no feud over who does more charity work, and a royal insider echoes the same sentiment.
The site has a track record for fabricating royally untrue stories. Earlier this month, Gossip Cop debunked the outlet for falsely alleging Middleton was jealous of Markles “sexy confidence,” particularly on the red carpet. And shortly before that concocted article, we corrected CDL for wrongly claiming Middleton was upset Markle was “stealing the spotlight.” Despite the website’s persistent attempts to allege otherwise, the two women are not feuding in general or over charity work.
