Kate Middleton stepped out on Sunday for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year ceremony in London, marking her first public appearance since her pregnancy was announced while she was hospitalized for severe morning sickness.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the Duchess of Cambridge spent several days in the hospital earlier this month due to hyperemesis gravidarum, before being released to further recover at home.

The mother-to-be made a glamorous return to the spotlight at Sunday’s event in a long, green Alexander McQueen dress with a thigh-high split.

Middleton, alongside co-presenter David Beckham, gave a lifetime achievement award to athlete-turned-politician Sebastian Coe, and the personality of the year award to cyclist Bradley Wiggins.

    I don’t really understand the American obsession with the Royal Family all of a sudden. You are not part of the Monarch, you are lucky enough to be an independent country, while many others are still considered under the Queens leadership . Stop obsessing about a group of people who in the scheme of things are outdated. What has the Royal family actually done to change the world? Since Diana died, it seems not much. Diana was a princess to look up to, she was not out to be a celebrity she was out to help change the world. Leave the royals alone to do their thing and be proud that your country is Independent. The duchess of Cambridge is not a celebrity nor is her sister Pippa.
