Kate Hudson Pregnancy Rumor Goes Belly Up

Truth rating: 1

(TheSuperficial.com)

Last September, rumors circulated that Kate Hudson was pregnant. She wasn’t.

A month later, baby buzz returned. It was just as wrong the second time.

Now, with spring here and blogs in a tizzy about the size of Hudson’s breasts, one site stumbled upon a completely original theory: She must be pregnant!

Rumors of implants seem “hilarious” to The Superficial, because it’s “clearly the case” that Hudson “just got knocked up by some random dude,” illustrating the point with photos of the actress… um, not really looking too pregnant.

But The Superficial cries gestation without hesitation.

“If Kate Hudson isn’t pregnant, then I obviously don’t understand female anatomy.”

There may be a biology class in The Superficial’s future.

A source close to the star tells Gossip Cop she isn’t expecting another child.

Gossip Cop is still waiting for an official comment from her rep.

Haha you guys are idiots. The Superficial was kidding. Apparently you cannot understand sarcasm.

Who wrote this??? Did you even read The Superficial’s article?? Clearly not, although there’s no excuse for not doing so. It was all of about 3 sentences. AND IT WAS COMPLETELY SARCASTIC. There needs to be a journalism/reading class in your future, morons.

I laughed REALLY hard at you. Maybe before you write your indignant and frenzied posts about something said on another blogger’s site, you should try reading through some of that blogger’s material so you can get a feel for their tone. This was totally a sarcastic joke. The Superficial has a great dry sense of humour and you are such a try-hard suck up for leaping to Kate Hudson’s defense over something I’m sure even she would realize was someone being a smart ass and not attempting to “break” any news.

Sarcasm and parody are two different things. Sarcasm is cutting humor, which the Superficial sometimes has. But saying she’s pregnant when she’s not, is not sarcasm. It could be parody in certain contexts, but the Superficial isn’t a parody site, and this instance it was definitely not parody. The Superficial made a guess that Kate Hudson was pregnant, the same way other sites like Celebitchy did – also not parody – and the Superficial got it wrong. Now the Superficial is backtracking. THAT’s the real joke.

By the commenters’ standards, therefore, every story on the Superficial would then be the opposite of what they pruport to be.

Good for you, GossipCop, for nailing them on a story that has some sarcastic statements, but at the end of the day is still wrong.

Mostly, though, I’m surprised Gossip Cop chose the Superficial for guessing wrong when other, bigger sites did the same thing.

Well, aren’t you quite the elitist little know-it-all, Nicco? If you read anything on The Superficial’s site you would know he makes an enormous amount of conjectures about different celebrities’ lives that are completely baseless because it is comical and sarcastic, and not meant to be taken seriously in any way. Please get your facts straight before you decide to make snappy comments like this again.
