Kate Hudson And Matthew Bellamy Split, End Engagement After Three Years
Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy have ended their engagement, her rep confirms. The now-former couple are parents to 3-year-old son Bingham. “Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now,” says Hudson’s rep. “Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents.”
Hudson and Bellamy began dating in 2010. The actress announced their engagement on the “Today Show” in April 2011, a few months after she revealed her pregnancy. The star gave birth to Bingham that July. Hudson is also mom to son Ryder, from her marriage to Chris Robinson, which ended in 2006.
Hudson and Bellamy have spent much of their relationship living on two continents, often traveling between Los Angeles and London. They never made any wedding plans public, although as Gossip Cop reported, she vowed she and Bellamy would get married in an April 2013 interview. But by April of this year, Hudson was lamenting the difficulty of romance. “Relationships are the most challenging things,” she told Self.
“It’s where you do the most work in your life. You come face-to-face with yourself, and if you can deal with realizing we’re all flawed, accept it and work with it, you might have a really amazing, lasting relationship,” Gossip Cop reported Hudson saying. Despite the apparent breakup, Hudson and Bellamy posed together on a red carpet just two weeks ago. See photo above.
