Kata Hay And Joe Maye “Voice” Knockout Video: Blake Shelton Uses Final Steal!
Kata Hay and Joe Maye’s “Knockout” on “The Voice” on Monday led Blake Shelton to use the final steal of season 10. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Hay’s enthusiasm caused a stir during her Blind Audition, particularly when she and future coach Christina Aguilera ended up sharing a quick kiss. Maye’s audition was exciting, too, with Aguilera actually getting on stage for an impromptu duet. But now the superstar chose to pit the team mates against each other.
In a mentoring session, key adviser Miley Cyrus told Hay that her own dad would be her “biggest fan” for her take on Reba McEntire’s “Why Haven’t I Heard From You.” And Cyrus told Maye he was “doing a really great job” with a more rock-influenced version of The Weeknd’s “Earned It.” Come show time, both contestants slayed it.
The panel was full of praise for each artist, but while Adam Levine thought Hay killed it, Shelton said Maye was a “revelation.” He added to Aguilera, “THIS was a knockout round. I don’t know what you’re gonna do.”
The superstar ultimately named Hay the winner. And when the steal window opened up for Maye, Shelton went for it! The contestant was pretty stunned, but happily so. “I think what I saw develop within that one performance is enough for me to go as a coach, ‘This guy, he’s it in him,'” Shelton said. “Let’s do this!” Check out the videos below!
