Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, along with Kris and Kendall Jenner, attended a private lunch with men and women who have lost relatives due to gun violence. The event was organized by Moms Demand Action and Everytown, two organizations that call for gun control reform. Kardashian later shared a group photo on Instagram.
“Having lunch with the families of loved ones who were killed by gun violence. I learned a lot from listening to their stories,” she wrote. “Life is so precious! What will it take for this to stop? #NotOneMore #Everytown #MomsDemand.”
Kardashian also documented the gathering on Snapchat, showing “Not One More” bracelets she was wearing. The event was filmed for a future episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” Sharon Watts, the founder of Moms Demand Action, tweeted, “Thank you @KimKardashian for supporting @MomsDemand and @Everytown on @KUWTK!!! #gunsense.”
Erica Smegielski, whose mom was killed during Sandy Hook, also shared a picture she took with Kendall and Kourtney on Twitter, writing, “Awesome to hang with these gun sense champs.” And Khloe posted on Instagram, “Was able to spend the afternoon with the families of victims of gun violence. Today was so very moving and impactful. I learned so much and i’m so grateful to everyone who was brave enough to share their very traumatic stories.”
“Everytown is a movement of Americans working together to end gun violence and build safer communities,” she went on. “Everytown is committed to bringing survivors of gun violence together to build communities of support throughout the country. Thank you all for today! It’s time to make a change! #Everytown.”
Kim in particular has become especially outspoken about these issues over the last year. As Gossip Cop reported, Kim went on a rant about gun control in June after several amendments failed in the Senate. See the full photo she shared below.
