Kardashians Rep: Brothel Owner Dennis Hof Should “Respect” Lamar Odom’s “Privacy” — SEE STATEMENT
A rep for the Kardashians is slamming Dennis Hof, the owner of the brothel where Lamar Odom was found unconscious earlier this week.
As Gossip Cop has reported, Odom had been partying at the Love Ranch in Nevada for several days when he was discovered unresponsive following a suspected overdose. Hof has claimed the NBA star only took an herbal substitute for Viagra, but there are indications that Odom had cocaine and potentially other drugs in his system. And over the last few days, Hof has been doing a media tour of sorts, speaking to various outlets about Odom’s time at the brothel.
That has included an appearance with Nancy Grace, in which he ripped the Kardashians. As Gossip Cop reported, Hof stated during a live interview on HLN, “Speaking of the Kardashians, I got a call from their publicist today saying, ‘Are you going to do any media?’ and I said, ‘Yes I’m going to go on the Nancy Grace show.’ And she said, ‘Please don’t do that, we’d rather have Khloe say what needs to be said.’ I told her to ‘Go to hell.’”
Now a Kardashian spokesperson is confirming that they indeed contacted Hof in an effort to curtail what the family believes is an invasion of privacy during a very serious and tragic time. A new statement reads, “We reached out to Dennis yesterday politely asking him to respect Lamar’s (and Khloe’s) privacy during this difficult time and refrain from talking to the press. This is a very painful situation, as I know you are aware, and the idea that anyone would use it to seek publicity is really sad.”
Some have accused Hof of trying to use Odom’s medical emergency to his business advantage, while others have questioned whether his media statements are an attempt to make it seem like he and his establishment are not responsible in any way for the health crisis. As Gossip Cop previously noted, Odom could face charges if police testing of a blood sample is positive for cocaine, but Love Ranch employees could also be prosecuted if it’s uncovered they, too, engaged in any illegal behavior, such as providing Odom with illicit drugs.
It’s also been reported that some close to Odom, such as business and family associates, believe he may have been shaken down by Hof’s company. They’ve asked for an itemized accounting of Odom’s purported $75,000 bill, and are particularly suspicious that the athlete’s backpack had no cash in it when it was returned to his bodyguard. Gossip Cop will continue to have updates.
