Kardashians Dash Store Targeted In Arson Attempt
The Kardashians’ Dash store in West Hollywood was the target of an arson attempt late Monday when a man threw a flaming object at the boutique, Gossip Cop confirms.
Lieutenant Ramirez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department tells Gossip Cop that around 11:20 p.m., a witness “driving by saw a male suspect throwing a lit object through the window.” A short time later, the police “received a burglary alarm call at the same location.” Sheriff’s deputies along with firemen were sent to the scene, where a “smoldering object was found inside” the store.
The arson squad was able to “render that safe,” and now the object is in custody as part of an ongoing investigation. Gossip Cop could not confirm what the object was made out of, but we are told it was “heavy,” and NOT a Molotov cocktail. And though it broke through the store’s front window, the boutique did not catch on fire and there not internal property damage.
The store was closed at the time of the incident, and it will be up to the Kardashians to decide whether to re-open on Tuesday. A rep for the family did not have any details when contacted by Gossip Cop. Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian founded the Dash chain in 2006, and this particular location opened in 2012.
The store has been shown extensively on “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” and was the focus of last year’s “Dash Dolls” spin-off. Boutiques are also located in New York and Miami. In 2014, the family set up a pop-up shop in the Hamptons for one summer.
In the paparazzi video below, police can be seen investigating the arson attempt, with a clear view of the shattered store window. Gossip Cop will have updates.
