Kanye West At Trump Tower, Meeting With Donald Trump
Kanye West unexpectedly arrived at Trump Tower on Tuesday morning for a meeting with Donald Trump. Gossip Cop has learned the President-elect is sitting down with the star for a private talk. Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for comment.
West was seen entering the New York City skyscraper around 9:15 a.m. Eastern time. He was joined by an entourage, a small group of men who followed him through the lobby and into an elevator. Where the rapper went after that is unclear at this point.
West’s appearance at Trump’s dual place of residence and business comes just a few weeks after he praised the President-elect during a concert rant. As Gossip Cop reported, West said he would have voted for Trump, had he cast a ballot during the presidential election. He cheered the business mogul for the way he conducted his campaign, and took some shots at Hillary Clinton.
Rumors emerged that West’s impromptu speech also included him rapping, “I hope they build the wall/I hope they get rid of them all.” While that seemed in-line with Trump’s policy preferences on the Mexican border and immigration, a spokesperson for the performer exclusively confirmed to Gossip Cop that he had said no such thing. In fact, the fake news seemed to stem from a single tweet sent by a Twitter user who wasn’t even at the show.
Days later, however, West canceled his remaining “Saint Pablo Tour” dates, and was subsequently hospitalized due to a mental breakdown. He was released a little more than a week later, and has since been recovering at the Los Angeles home he shares with wife Kim Kardashian. On Monday, though, West arrived in Manhattan.
And now, on the following day, he had a short meeting with the business mogul. Click to watch Trump and West face the press after their chat.
