Kanye West and Dave Chappelle go way back, and on Friday, the rapper made a surprise appearance at the comedian’s Radio City Music Hall show in New York.

The newly married West took the stage and performed “New Slaves,” “Gold Digger’ and “Jesus Walks.” While phones and cameras were not technically allowed at Chappelle’s show, a number of people still captured footage of West’s performance. It looks like a good time. The audience certainly didn’t seem to mind.

Chappelle only announced the show just last month. It’s one in a series of five, consecutive, sold-out gigs at the historic Manhattan venue. After a two-day break, Chappelle will then return for another four nights, featuring musical co-headliners such as The Roots, Erykah Badu, Busta Rhymes and Janelle Monae. It’s unclear if West will make another “surprise” appearance at one of the other shows.

Like West in rap, Chappelle is considered one of comedy’s greatest. He’s also a triple threat. In addition to stand-up, he’s also mastered acting and behind-the-scenes work as a writer-producer. He’s probably best known on the big screen for Half-Baked, and “Chappelle’s Show” on the small screen.
