Kanye West Released From Hospital
Kanye West was released from UCLA Medical Center on Wednesday, a little more than a week after being hospitalized for exhaustion and mental health issues. The rapper is now recovering at home with his family.
As Gossip Cop reported, West was admitted to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation a week ago Monday, just hours after announcing that the remainder of his Saint Pablo Tour had been canceled. At the time of the incident, Los Angeles police were called to the home of celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, where West was being observed by Dr. Michael Farzam. The doctor told authorities the rapper had gone into a state of “temporary psychosis,” and recommended he be hospitalized.
Paramedics arrived at the scene, and transported West via ambulance to UCLA Medical Center, where he had remained under observation and care for more than a week until his release on Wednesday. There have been many false rumors surrounding the musician’s situation, including the bogus claim he’s been on suicide watch, but Gossip Cop previously separated the fact from the fiction about West’s hospitalization.
Many celebrities have also voiced their support for West in the wake of his health struggle, including Lady Gaga, D.L. Hughley, Emile Hirsch, Marlon Wayans, Rose McGowan, Janelle Monae, and more. West, we’re told, is back at home with his kids and Kim Kardashian, who has been at his side throughout his hospital stay. Gossip Cop we will continue to have updates.
